Frozen, and this ain't the movie

Piper spent the past week creating a giant block of multi-colored ice to be used in an all-class ice sculpture.  This morning we brought it to school (it weighed just about as much as Teagan).  This was their final creation!  Piper's ice is circular, with multi-colored layers and on the far right.

Lunch bunch

Every Friday Mrs. Andress selects six kids to have a 'fancy' lunch with her in the classroom.  She sets a lovely table and everyone eats their lovely meals together.  Naturally, this was the one day EVER we forgot to include Piper's main food in her lunch (a sandwich), so all she had was a cheese stick, some grapes and a Fruit by the Foot. 

Awesome.  Parenting.

This is Piper with Fuzz and one of her best TenderTime buddies Kellan.  Kellan brought a dinosaur.  It wasn't clear whose animal was scariest, but it was clear which kid was scariest!

Piper and Fuzz E. Bear: A weekend to remember

Each weekend, one of the kindergarteners in Mrs. Andress's class gets to bring home Fuzz E. Bear, the class stuffed animal mascot.  Piper is lucky, because she gets an entire 3 day weekend with Fuzz due to the holiday!  Prior to his visit, we'd heard a lot about Fuzz.  His favorite food is pizza. With fish heads and fish eyeballs.  And he's been known to lift your cell phone so watch your pockets!  His favorite thing to do is to order pizza late at night after everyone's in bed.  (Apparently, Mrs. Andress, a very skilled and incredibly effective teacher who presents as very serious at parent conferences, is just a laugh a minute with some full blown comedy performances for the class.)

After the weekend is over, I we have to write a journal entry complete with photo documentation about Fuzz's adventures at the McAveys.  So, we tried to do as many interesting things as we could.

Fuzz came to swim class.

Fuzz got a visit from Piper's best classroom friend, Sadie.

Sadie's American Girls doll Alexis came for the playdate too, but Sadie swears it wasn't a fix up.
