Blue belt, blue flower

After her belt ceremony, there was a festival outside the taekwondo studio.  Teagan got a blue flower, to honor her sister's achievement.

Bunk bed, baby!

Piper is now the proud owner of a bunk bed!  We've been promising her one for ages, since she's seven and you know, still sleeping in a toddler bed.

She's super jazzed, and her first sleepover is in a few weeks!  This is her on the top bunk.  You can't really tell from the picture.

 

Summer, on repeat

Today it was hoooooooooot outside.  A do over on summer, for the day.  We did it over in style, of course. Playground style.

 

Tea for three

Today we had Piper's friend Sadie over and we had a tea party.  The tea party was actually more for the adults, because the kids wanted to serve the tea and run the tea shop.  They did a fabulous job at navigating the ups and downs of small business in today's society :)

Paris with friends

Today we went to see the movie "Leap" with Piper's best friend and her family.  We saw it in a theater that Dan had always driven past on his way to and from work, that is designed to look like a French cafe and village complete with an Eiffel Tower.  The animated movie is set in Paris, so it was just perfect.  Above, are Sadie and Piper :)

Crazy lovelies

This week we're experiencing Indian summer, and what better way to celebrate the resurgence of warm weather than with a trip to the ice cream parlor?

The girls were more than happy to dance it up at the outdoor stage. 

   

 

  

 

Feed the birds

This morning we went to feed the ducks and play at the outdoor stage behind the library.  The ducks were a little shy at first, but then they came right out of the pond for some free snacks!  Pics of the stage performance to follow immediately ;)

First day of 2nd grade & preschool
