If you ever wondered
what goes on in a four year old’s mind when contemplating her father’s
birthday.
Mom: Okay Piper,
let’s start with an easy one. How would
you describe your dad in one word?
Piper: I like that
he’s so goofy and silly and I like that he’s a googoo head.
Mom: Good stuff. What's your favorite thing to do with Daddy?
Piper: My favorite
thing to do with Daddy is, um, play with him.
I like to play with him sooooo much!
(Very intense, scrunched up face)
Mom: What’s the best
time you ever had with Daddy?
Piper: Watching the
movie today with him. (Recency effect)
Mom: What’s the most
fun place to go with Daddy?
Piper: Mall of
Americaaaa!!! (No hesitation)
Mom: If Dad were a
superhero what would his name be?
Piper: Ummmmm… Super
Dan!!!
Mom: How tall is Daddy?
Piper: Fourteen tall.
Mom: What color are
Daddy’s eyes?
(Runs out of room, down the stairs, and then comes back a
minute later)
Piper: Ummm…. GREEN!
Mom: Okay. Tell me a story about Daddy and Piper.
Piper: Ummm.
Ummm. Once long ago there was a Super
Daddy and there was a little Piper. And
she was stuck. In a tree. And Super Daddy came to help her. And they lived happily ever after. The end.
Another story, please! Please another story!
Mom: Okay… go for it.
Piper: Once upon a
time there was a Super Piper. And Daddy was
walking along. And then he got stuck in
a tree. And then Super Piper came to
help Daddy and then they lived happily ever after. And that is the end of that storrryyyy.
Mom: What should
Daddy wish for on his birthday?
Piper: I think he
should wish for… hmmm… his daddy. He’s
gonna wish for his daddy.
~The end~
