Medal!

Today was Piper's last basketball game of the season.  She had a full day, and so did Teagan by extension!

In the morning, Piper had a playdate with her friend Livia.  Livia is a joy.  She suggested that she and Piper clean the playroom as an activity.  She's welcome back anytime.

But really, she and Piper get along very well and have a lot in common.  She's in Piper's Faith Formation class, but also used to go to TenderTime.  And her mom works at the salon where my hair stylist works.  So we've all known each other for longer than we realized initially.

After that, we went to Piper's final basketball game.  At the school we got to see Piper's name on the wall as a result of her reading minutes in the school Read-a-Thon.

Piper's team played a team that was very advanced.  I say it's because they had a female coach.  But there was a girl on that team that was a full head taller than the tallest girl on our team.  Yikes!  It ended up being a bit of a rough game but the girls didn't seem very bothered by it.

The girls each were presented with a medal and a token for a free ice cream at Culver's.  So the kids (and parents) all went out for ice cream.  They always have fun when they get to just hang out together.  And Piper and her bestie Evie closed down the joint.  (Well, not the joint, but we were the last of our group to leave.)  It was a long but good day.
